Ready to go VE *PICS*
I just got out of the turbo game and need something to keep me alive, I have an unmolested B14 stock lowport in pretty good shape (175psi across the board) and even I have many bolt on's ready to go into the DE I'd rather to do the swap since being honnest, a bolted on DE won't be enough.

Where could I get a healthy VE? I know Dre is the one in this cases, I also sent a couple of emails for some unknown ebay sellers but no answers yet.

I'd like to keep it N/A this time, I need a reliable DD.

And also if you have experience with Soko or Soshin, I know Tiger also carries those engines but I don't know, they use to be hit and miss

You can also check with jdm engine zone in Clifton nj. Their prices can be negotiated and their customer service is awesome.

I'd rather buy from a site with compression test videos.

I have seen VE's from 180 to 215psi and I wanna know what to expect

Already sent a couple of emails to the sites listed by you guys, thnx

I have read so many VE projects using engines by Miko and that's exactly what I'm looking for, I guess he have been busy for the weekend.

I already have some stuff in the garage for the B14

- Exedy OEM replacement clutch
- eBay 2.5" header (wrapped by DEI)
- Mandrel bent Magnaflow Exhaust
- 3" intake pipe and flowstack

I'm gonna need a 3" housing MAF (N60 or E60) and my ECU tuned, also the pills for the activation.

Maybe later this year I could get some SR16VE (non N1) cams, I heard they are great for DD and have better top end than SR20VE regular cams

Well I got a VE from Soken and I have been prepping it outside.

First thing I did is pop the valve cover, everything looks ok... next I removed and changed the coolant hoses back the engine.

Scrubbed the engine a lil bit and paint a few parts, soldered wire to the soleonid plugs as they were pretty short, I will be using a Granatelli Dual Window Switch but i'm having a hard time setting it properly, does anyone in the board using the granatelli?

Also replaced the vacuums from the fpr and damper at the fuel rail, cleaned up the iacv and replaced the hose, I looked for a similar PCV vacuum hose but couldn't find it as far as mine isn't broken I really wanted to replace it.

Also for the window switch I wired up a couple of leds in the dash to confirm the solenoids activation.

A lot of work left to do, I'll be spending time in the week and planing on land the engine by saturday.

If you want a 3" housing maf, go with the VE maf (pathfinder/frontier/xterra) because it will plug right in to your b14 connector so no wiring.

I forgot to mention, a couple days ago I found a Maxima in a local junk yard and it had the N60 so I bought it including the pigtail and about 6" of cable.

Today I tested both solenoids straight from the battery and they are working, the solenoids housing wasn't dirty so I didn't unscrew them.

No wiring would be sweet but I already got this MAF
