if you plan the step down or what ever keep it OBDII find a pre98 harnes and swap it over. there is management for ODBII, but there is a few more options for the OBDI guys. oh and calum isnt around but his stuff is out there...

A step down will also let you use the stock ve ecu to get the car running. I used my stock ve ecu in two different cars while the owner decided on what ecu to use.

everyone keeps saying "step down"... people didn't use this terminology when I was thriving in the game... do they sell harnesses for this, or do people still do the obd1 adaptors for the ecu plugs? I just talked with Nathan on another way to do it.

This also is the 1st I have heard of "step down".

I was told that I can still use my p10 ecu, I just have to use my DE injectors until I get a tunable ECU I.E; JWT, Calum or NisTune. And I will be able to hit VVL with a MSD window switch but just not over 175HP

Ok so that harness makes since except the fact that I personally have a p10 ECU now. Do I still use that or do I use my stock ecu that came in the car?

VE ecu can be chipped and tuned.
