wayne... you won't need to use it with a obdii ecu... essentially you would only need it if you were going to run a jdm cu (in my case, the VE ecu) or if you were interested in running a tunercode capable ecu (B13). the p10 ecu is good for your harness if you just do the jwt pinout switch like you plan to do.

i think that i'm going to make my own adaptor harness and rock my ve ecu and call it a day... i've got multiple b13 harnesses in the basement and i know i have a few obd2 ecus laying around. i'll see i i can find a way to run some wires from the obd1 harness through the firewall for the cam solenoids.

This is why i ask questions... thank you jagy. Have you had one tuned before? if so, where?

pin 102 activates the intake solenoid and 106 does the exhaust on the ve ecu.

I didnt, but there are few members from Europe running chipped VE ecu. I think its all Bill´s work.

You can also check NeoVVL forum, there are members with various tuned VE ECU´s too.

My DD is OBDII, I'm running a nistune type 4 board in it and it passes NYS plug in emmisions no problem. Super easy to work with, pretty cheap and you can change up MAFs, injectors, w/e quick and easy and no need to screw with your harness.

EDIT: shingouki1 can probably still get you a good deal too...

Thanks! i didn't even know there was a vvl forum. I will check with Bill and over there and see what i can find out. I am working with Brennan to see if we can get a VVL wiring diagram in english from AUS or somewhere similar (If there isn't one here already).

Should work, I will find out. Ostriches are on their way.
