There are a few other places that will sleeve the blocks and have done many of them for much less then mazworx.

Maybe a little competition would help them lower their prices?? Might be nice

Yeah darton sleeves man !

The proccess and maching is what costs less that is the only difference.

I could do a group buy if there is enough intrested people who are willing to pay upfront. I highly doubt there would be enough people who would be intresred. Anyone whos intrested feel free to pm me.

What do you normally get the sleeve install done for or could they do it for.

When the local machine shop (very very reputable and has done a lot of sleeve installs on v8's did my buddy peters block it looked great and they only charged $280 for the labor to install them which was a hell of a deal and we figured we would give them a shot at it. It looked great when done but when assembled the sleeves immediately sank after the head was torqued causing it to eat coolant. All the other tollerances were great but what hurt them is they didnt use a torque plate when they did the final bore and honing then when the bore and hone was done they finished it off by decking the block smooth. Well the sleeves lifted during the bore process and then sure enough they sank back down and it was a good 2mm or so that they sank.

At least the machine shop was kind enough to warranty the work and repaid my buddy all the money for the block, sleeves, labor, Mazworx headgasket and some pain and suffering money. lol. So they gave it their best shot and he was honest and said he wont make the mistake of doing that again.

If they would have used the torque plate, im pretty confident it would have worked perfectly. This was a 90mm bore motor as well.

That sounds like a good price, but as alway you get what you pay for. the place we use has a deck plate.
