Do you realize how much the build is gonna cost? Whats your budget?

Yes a build like this is 3x more expensive then a turbo build.

Ask me how i know.

Ive spent 2300 dollars so far, havent ordered pistons, sent the head out for porting or had the block sleeved, let alone the other misc shit.

This is for the die hard people who dont mind spending close to 10 grand all said and done.

Stratton.

I only want to spend 10 for everything; engine and shell (or stock on craigslist). Been without a sr for a little over a year and bored as hell!

if you only want to spend a total of $10G's you certainly need to drop the crank out of the equation...

92mm crank on eBay is only 900. If your already going 92mm pistons, the only difference is pin height..

Hey strat, who do you plan on using to do the actual sleeving? is there a more cost effective option other than mazworx?

I think you should keep the bore down to 91mm so you have some room incase your cyl walls ever end up out of round and need some attention..

Also depending what kind of parts you plan to use I think the 91x86 might make just as much power and you could use that extra 1000 you saved on the crank to buy or build better supporting mods.. if your going to be using simple sub par custom header and manifold I see you making the same power on a stock crank. I guess what I'm saying is its going to be a lot more work/expensive to get the stroker to its full potential vs the big bore motor.

We know bigger is not always better. the stroker motor will require much better quality parts to work. if a given motor will only flow xxx amt of air then the addition of the huge crank will not help.. also drop the safe rev limit.

I'd be scared of a crank on eBay... Unless someone here said it was a decent piece..
