The motor has no knock at all. Doesn't tick or anything that I can hear. Sounds pretty normal almost like if I purposely pulled a plug wire to make it run on 3 cynlinders.

Wheels i'll check it out. I know it was leaking a little bit so i'll have to fix it.

Sorry mate didnt see the post - left the page open for a day and replied :P

0 compression, if your certain, and you have inspected the valvetrain means head off engine out.

I'll have to do some searching on bad valves. Not sure what you mean. Yeah, i'm a newb haha.

What sort of ignition timing were you running? Did the engine feel like it went flat in top end much?

Ah figured haha.

I forget what we ran for peak timing. I would say it was somewhere 30-32 degrees at peak. The car flatlined at 7,300 rpm's. The only reason I would rev out past peak power was to keep it on VVL. The standard DE gearbox is just too damn long.

First thing first then is send your injectors to get flowed and cleaned, keep a specific marking on cyl 4 injector so you know what its results are. The DE box is good, as long as your tune is safe. The extra load spready out in th gear will eb enough to melt and engine if its rattling its brains out. You egenrally wont hear a VE rattling in top end because of the induction and engine noise. Might pay to get the knock phones on the engine when its back at the tuner!

32 degrees is a lot - but a lot of you guys in the states run it - we only run 28-29 here.

My tuner kept things pretty conservative. AFR's were kept between 12.2-12.4 throughout. On the old motor we were running I believe 35-36 for peak timing. The car ran great. My times were not great but I blame that on myself for not getting it off the line correctly. It was trapping consistent 100-101 trap speeds with low comp in #3. That motor was fed a lot of nitrous . We found out my exhaust valves were bent. I guess thats what happens when your revving to 9K everday for almost 2 years on stock valvetrain.

I will go over everything once we figure out what went wrong. I want to make sure all components are 100%. I just can't wait to get the car home to tear it apart.

30 degrees peak timing @ 12-12:2 afr is where the car sat.

Wait for the head to come off. It could be anything.

True. Should have the car home by mid week. I'll yank the bish off and hoping it will be something stupid.

Bes, if its anything in the bottom end its time for a big bore, i got a hook up. Worse case scenario that is.

Hopefully its a dropped valve and u can just yank the head and fix it ! thats a cheap easy fix.

Stratton.

Yeah I hope it is something stupid. If you need any parts let me know I have a VE that ate a butterfly screw.
