Wonder if you burnt a valve or dropped a valve.

Bes,

Not sure if you want to nurse it back to CT but I am going to be at my shop all day tomorrow and have an open lift. It would make dropping the motor much easier.

Sorry to hear about the issues.

Thanks Jim. I think I might just have AAA tow it back to CT for me because I don't wanna do any more damage than whats done. I do appreciate it though bro!

Cory, I'm not really sure at this point. I have BC springs so I figure the valvetrain/head should be solid. Then again, who knows without tearing it apart. Once I get the car home i'll rip off the head and see whats up. I popped the valve cover and all shims were in place. Everything looked mint. Argh, who knows.

Probably just an injector or injector driver on the ecu.

Yeah but how who that lead to no compression? I mean I could be wrong. I am learning new things everyday about these things. I figure at this point its probably a bad piston. Probably a hole or cracked ring land.

I was just thinking a valve because you said zero compression.. and I shim missing won't make you loose cr like that. And with a cracked ring land the cr will be down significanly but not zero. Maybe you've burnt through the piston. Who knows, hope for the best. Good luck

Thanks bro. I'll find out soon enough. Just upsetting because the car ran like a raped ape. Broke it in properly and all and got it tuned to solid AFR's and timing. Everything seemed good and I know for a fact it would of ran 12's with ease. I'll order up some new pistons and rings and slap it back together.

I'll have to do some searching on bad valves. Not sure what you mean. Yeah, i'm a newb haha.

After some quick reading, I think you might be right Cory. I would rather have it be a burned up valve than a piston or rings, lol.

Edit:

Another thing is the smoke is all from the blowby. There doesn't seem to be any smoke coming out of the exhaust itself. God let it be valves, lol.

I checked oil and it was full so I went ahead to start it. Car rumbled like a subaru but managed to hold idle. I disconnect plug #4 and it stayed the same. Pulled it off the dizzy and saw sparks arching out. I checked over all wiring and everything seems mint.

The car also has blow by. When i revved the motor, it would blow out smoke. I am hoping for the best but yeahhh. We refreshed this motor from inside out. It doesn't overheat so yeah i'm not sure what to think. Any ideas or opinions? I'm out in NY right now and live in CT so comp tester and all that good stuff is home. Just have basic tools with me. Any help appreciated. What a wat to start the new year.

Happy New Year fellas!
