dude you need to do some searching. you have a lot of questions with answers that are readily available. and i wasnt goin off the stock gauge. i think its probably because i removed all my ac components and the radiator is gettin better flow without the condenser in the way..

Dosent matter what you end up doing. If its boosted, 3" or fail.

Putting a VE head on a DE block and putting in larger cams = custom made piston notches!

i was thinkin about doing a ve head on a det block with det pistons and stock 2.0ve cams and replacing the stock valves,springs,and retainers any thought on that?

DET rods & piston are good for 400hp+, replacing the stock ex. valves to inconel ones are a good idea. The 16VE or 16VE N1 cams are better than the 20VE.
The easy way, is to buy a SR20det GTi-R engine. Up too 400hp you have no loss vs. the VE head.
