De-ve Or Just Ve
hey i have a question. which set up would yeld more power a de-ve w/ a turbo or just a ve w/ a turbo? if any one has a parts list and a very thero write up that would be great. i have checked out the write up on installing the ve head to the de block and would like to find one that does the hole process.

VE with turbo would give you more power because of the higher compression. But you could run higher boost on a de-ve setup so it kinda evens itself out..

Wrongo- one the ve head goes on the de block the cr is up to the same point of a full ve motor.

But now you have less piston to valve clearence for bigger cams, when the day come you ant to upgrade you are stuck w de pistons and no valve reliefs

haha thats real dumb if anyone has actually done that

but corys right, the de might only be 9.5 or 10:1 with a de head, but put the ve head on and the smaller ve combustion chaber raises it
