Thread: vvl question.

I've done a lot of reading over the last few days. I have a few questions. I'll be running the SR20VE on the stock DE ecu until I can find and afford a JWT ecu. Is it safe to activate the VVL on the DE ecu? and should i be using the VE MAF or the DE MAF? Thanks

Why not run a chipped ecu? Calum ecu's float around in the classifieds for fairly cheap. I will actually have a calum basic ecu with a pair of chips programmed for VE injectors, n60 maf, etc up for sale.

I used my DE ecu but that was until I got the car situated. I know of people who have ran the DE ecu but the car runs pig rich. PM if your interested in the ecu I have.

No problem running the high cams on a de ecu..

And you will want to run the de inj and maf.. you always want to match your maf/inj combo w your ecu

I ran the high cams with de ecu, de maf, and ve injectors. I was told to crank the timing to around 21 degrees.
