Strat, you da man. Way to bounce back. Now you got me motivated to finish my project! BTW, what crank pulley are you using?
We all know you will balance the motor during assembly, just wondering how you are managing any harmonic issues.

make sure you have the crank magnafluxed and the oiling holes checked....maybe even have them chamfered out

I dont mean to sound like Im hating, cause you know I'm on your side, but I wouldnt be surprised if that was the source of your failure. The crank is a copy of another design so the engineering may be lacking depending how well they were able to copy...know what I mean..

Jrod, I know exactly what your saying, im going to have the machine shop magnaflux the crank and remaining rods.

ya also might and I mean might, have to use oversized bearings if the crank wasnt scored.

thats just a case of turning down the journals which can run about $75 a journal depending who does it..
shitty part is, if you do one you may as well do them all so you can run all the same bearings as opposed to ordering one off pair. Not my cup o tea, personally, especially on a performance build...on an everyday bone stock SR..sure youll get by..

Thats why I say mag the crank first, check it for straightness and ensure there are no issues with any of the oil holes otherwise if you turn down and polish only to realize the crank is junk youll be stuck with a bigger paperweight than you may potentially already have.

Rich, if you want to have the crank fully worked over by Castillo Crankshaft let me know and i can take it there for you and save you a little time and money. Hopefully the machine shop you use is good with cranks.
