"hell of a missed gear or over rev to throw a rod in a forged engine like this surely" i thought you meant the block itself lol but it doesnt always have to be oild starvation i've seen many builds go bad and most of the time builder is at fault.... oil clearances too tight...

Remember kid, there's heroes and there's legends. Heroes get remembered but legends never die, follow your heart kid, and you'll never go wrong.

Yep Strat you don't have to be the best player to still play in the NA game. Even the best athletes in their sport take a breather and regroup when it's time to. Life is a lot more important in the grand scheme of things. We'll still be here on the forums when we can but other issues in our lives are more demanding of our time. A lot of us here have your back always and when you are ready you'll let us know. You'll finish this but as much time energy and funds as it took to get this far for a bout of misfortune to taint it you need a break to catch up on life and regroup. Lots of good ideas for you to fall back on, depends on if you want to drive the NX soon or wait and do it the way you really want. Either way we have your back bro...

We all have our moment I have a good feeling you'll be back stronger . Heck I've lost battle with nos turbo rotory motors after three engines failed me at the drag strip and that didn't stop me .

i thought about it for a lil bit. talked to a couple of people.

as much as i want to do it im going to say ill accomplish this goal one day, but just not today.

stock ve and ill throw all my goodies on it, run a smaller header, run the v3 cams and s&r, up in the air as far as running the intake manifold and the big q45 throttle body (anybody care to chime in on a q45 tb on a stock ve feel free). run it on 93 oct tune it on my aem and enjoy the car. enjoy the car and drive the car for what it is. itll still be quick and fun.

as of right now im not concerned with making the most whp, having the baddest n/a ve out there. im concerned with driving the car and having my hand on the steering wheel and the t-tops off.

good plan. Dont park it just go back to a less extreme set up and enjoy yourself

If you get the itch you can slowly build a block on the side.
