I'm sure with all of these experiences, if you stick with it down the road, you will reach your goals. Whatever they are!

well, see anythings possible, but at this point i believe its alot harder then even i realized.

at the end of the day all i wanted was the car to run like a top, be smooth, linear and responsive. i wanted numbers but that came second to being able to drive the car.

This is a perfect goal! And for that reason and that reason alone I'm sure you will reach that goal. Like you said before, you have a goal and anything on top of that is a bonus!

No no diff cyclinder

It had to be a bearing issue, only way for it to seize up and send a rod threw the block.

Do you think that the rod end sustained damage that you did not detect during the first failure?

I'm still trying to come to grips with this. Makes me even worry about going with Josh and throwing in some N1 pistons.

Man you may be the first person that had better reliability out of their 400whp turbo setup than their 250 whp na setup. Although I was hoping you'd hit at least 280.

Are you still going to keep the 9K rev limiter? Can the Kelfords still make the power you want at 8.5K? Don't know if the 2.4L can be revved at 9K without issues, especially with the harmonics involved at those high RPMs. Know you'll be checking out the cause, keep us in the know. Wondering if an ATI crank pulley would be added insurance. Did you use ACL race bearings? Going with different rods on the rebuild? Didn't mean to throw out a bunch of questions, just a hiccup pops up with the build just when things start going good. This is uncharted territory with the 2.4s so these things happen with R&D as all of us are finding out with yours Strat. Just wishing that you had some good luck for a change. No matter what we still got your back bro. Build it up better.

Tough luck . I'm sure you'll get it sorted. For some reason I keep thinking that going with a big bore build you don't really want to rev to the moon with it. With a shorter stroke I wouldn't think you'd have an issue, but taking a square block and increasing it by bore and stroke to keep same rev limits just doesn't seem safe to me.

Then again I know NOTHING about big bore SR's.
