Sorry to see this. Hope you get to sort it out without further issues.

Do you have a permanent AFR gauge mounted in the car? Saved my motor and was definitely worth the investment.

Im doing a couple additions to my car as well to help prevent occurences like what happened to mine. Im putting in an aem digital fuel pressure gauge that can output a 0-5v signal to the ems so i can monitor and log fuel pressure and use some of the features for safety such as fuel cut if fuel pressure falls below a certain threshold. Im not having stupid things do damage to the motor any longer. Im crossing all the T's and dotting the I's.

another thing to consider is if your ign timing is retarded A LOT for some reason, it can make the combustion process super hot. just a thought.

Good Luck

I agree.

I really dont see the point in running the OEM parts for break in. I mean sure what's it going to hurt. Nothing. But just seems pointless unless your doing it for testing improvement I don't see the reason.

Just put it back together and take it to another tuner that's it...
And next time dont rush things to get dyno numbers make sure its running safe before strapping it to a dyno for wot tuning.

I see your point as well Cory but, when having issues I guess it helps eliminate the possibilities.

Now only thing I would have different I would have street tuned first. Considering the car is a street car in my opinion that is the way it should be done. Lock in the drivability then Put some miles on the motor then after all is said and done then tune the car for WOT and power.

I know Rich wanted to make the convention so possibly subconsciously he may have rushed a bit.

He will get her situated soon!

Cory are you running a standalone? He is, and as seen,he had some issues hence my comment. I guess he needs a little more experienced tuner.

stratton.

I know how you feel. I am lucky that I have a very good AEM tuner in town. I will do my own base maps just to get the car running but I will be taking it to a professional to get it properly tuned.
