I'm saying zero zero could be two different centerlines on two different motors. Depending on how much was machined off the deck and head. Also head gasket thickness. But if your planning on just keeping moving the gears until you reach the best numbers you don't really have to degree them. Just be careful you font go too far and hit your pistons...

Yes, thats what I thought u meant. we are going to degree them in make sure we are at true 00 then jump to jaimes recommended settings and go from there.

For all I know they may be retarted.

Hey Stratt i've got Pipe Max, If your willing to give me some info on your motor I can plug it in and give you header and exhaust system specs.
This Program has been designed by Meaux racing. Its a pretty well regarded little program.
Fire me a PM if your keen

the problem is in the top end is our guess, the cams must be off. gonna go over the motor right now.

vipr, the header plays a major roll, but what were seeing has nothing to do with header design.

cory, it is but no much longer then juns race header, if you look at 300+WHP k series or h series motors they run similiar legnths and designs. just go look at a k24 header its just as long per runner.

nick, throw me a pm, it may be cool just to see, im curious and if you got the time sure. ty.

latency, it runs, i have a few vids of it on the dyno.

You just said the problem is in the top end. The header actually plays a significantly larger role in the upper RPM spectrum, as in, an exponential amount of significance. You have a large bore, large stroke, mucho air breathing, exhaust snarling beast. I could not imagine the honor of ripping that engine on a dyno and enjoying the percussion of a 92mm x 92mm VVL sex in your ear drums.

I dislike comparing the engines of a Nissan VE to a Honda K. They are different as all engines that are the same run (SR20DE vs SR20DE or SR20VE vs SR20VE) are slightly different. There is just no point in trying to make a blanket comparison anymore.

Can I ask what cams are you using in the engine? I thought they were Nissan OEM cams? Or are you running the big boy Kelford 184c?
