Exactly, everything is custom at this point. Had to cut a weld a pipe facing downwards for the heater core outlet on the back of the block.

Header pipes etc are being picked up today.

Guess I'll just buy it anyway since you said that you were able to bend it enough to get it to work. Just trying to avoid going custom.

you will def have to bend it. the bracket is not made for FWD Nissan's throttle cables. i tried 3 diff years (91,94,97) on mine and none worked with out having to bend it. and yes its the q45 tb

Got pics of yours installed afterward? I guess I might just take the mani somewhere to get a bracket welded on the plenum then. Just don't know if that would work out because I'm pretty sure I am going to have to use the 45* or 75* or whatever adapter to keep it out of the way of the brake booster. So if that's the case, I might have to use the excessive bracket. Ill mock it up and find out for sure this weekend.

I like that piece. What was the price on it? I need to order one with the rest of the stuff im gonna be getting from greg.

Looks good strat. I like the manifold. I asked you before, was that the manifold from the ebay seller that i got my DE one from. If so that one looks really really good

ashton yes it is.

ill figure it out once the motor is installed. my plan is 3inch stepped to 3.5 inch.

jer if the throttle cable bracket looks like it should work. if not it only cost 20 bucks and well fab up something else, no biggie at all man. considering the ammount of custom stuff done to this motor a throttle cable bracket is the least of my worries.

With the q45 there is no sense bringing it down to 3in.

Yeah the throttle body itself i believe is closer to 3.5" At least I had to buy a 3.5" coupler to 3" 90 deg coupler with the manifold i was running on the de head so it would clear the master cylinder just fine. Expenisve reinforced coupler too. I think it was like $42 shipped for that one coupler. lol. Your manifold will sit lower in the bay than the one i had on the de highport head so you might actually clear under the master cylinder by the looks of it. mine was pointing straight into the edge of the MC and the 90 deg coupler cleared it just fine. With the V-band piece welded on its gonna be close. You will have to do a pretty decent bend to clear the MC again unless it goes under it which is possible. Its something you will have to do when its in the bay.

80 mm is like 3 1/8 closer to a 1/4 forgive my quick mental measurements. So im going from 3 1/8 to 3.5 on my intake arm.

Ashton well see were it falls out.

Yea, I know it's no big deal. I was just curious if you have tried it yet so I would know beforehand and not waste my time with it.

Went 4" with a step down on mine with the q45... looked badass... held power a bit better after 8k and smoothed out my curve

thanks for that info blood. well eventually get to try a few sizes. im thinking 3.5 might be optimal the whole way, just nice and long with the filter right before the headlight.

got alot done today, practically ready to go in. cut the day short cause its hot and we both got some parties to go to.

aeromotive fpr, gauge, jmr aftermarket top feed fuel rail, 680cc precision inj top feed and some an fittings. the fuel rail i was planning on using didnt accept my 740cc injs. 8.5 chromoly light weight flywheel, my act clutch, 16ve tranny, axels etc. motor is fully assembeled, besides inj, gonna pick them up tomorrow from sk.

monday shes going in then we just have to build the header and its off to the dyno.

i have some parts for sale if anyone is intrested. used oem ve oil pump in great shape, starter, great shape de alternator, nismo740cc side feed injs, oem ve intake mani, tb, basically everything, fuel rail and ve 333 oem inj, de dist with cap and rotor in great shape, de plug wires just ask me as i need to get rid of these parts taking up spaceee.
