If I were doing a build like this i would consider a brand new OEM damper since I have experienced that the ones that comes from the used motors don't last very long with the abuse.... And I had a bad experience with the Gspec one on a high reving motor....

The starnard pullies generally go bad because the belts get over tightened.

I will never run an aftermarket alloy crank pulley ever in life...

If I keep hearing this, both my aftermarket crank pulleys are going to be for sale real soon.

I am using a stock pully on my motor. Hell back in the days I ran UR pullies on my car and to tell you the truth I never trusted them.

No... but after reading a lot about torsional harmonics and other testimony I don't like them. There may be less of an effect on our motors since our cranks are short (IL-4) and most DE's are 8cw, but I personally don't bother with crank pulleys anymore. That and the fact that it was the only real thing I changed on my det setup a few years ago, they are just bad luck with me.

But as far as suggestions? I just go by the following: "You do you, and I'm a do me..." I'm not going to tell people not to use them, mainly because people will just say "blah blah blah 8 years blah blah and no problems here"... "(Insert knowledgeable SR guru's name here) said this"... etc. I just personally don't agree with them (especially if I planned to rev a lot, and especially if I invested money into my motor). I would rather invest in a l/w flywheel... and if I was that concerned I would buy the ATI.

No first hand crank snapping or extreme motor explosions on my end... but that's just how I feel.

VQ, you shouldn't have a problem, but there are always people who will buy them as there are differing opinions on them if you don't use them. I have still never had an issue or heard of an issue on an sr20, but it is all what people feel comfortable with. If I got a good deal on them I would still run them on a n/a de.
