I have been without boost for about 2 years... It does give you an appreciation for n/a again. I've wanted to go VE for about 6 years, but chose turbo back in 06/07. So call me a late bloomer... VE is fun, but I couldn't even begin to understand how fun it would be with a built motor like this one will be.

Random story...
My college friend Dave (speedyd187?) was interested in getting into these cars and came to look at my nx's for sale a ways back... he had a chunk of change and I told him there were better b13's out there... next thing you know he showed up to my house with Domiken's VE'd electric blue that Rob and Lance put together? Drove that around for a grip... He sold it and bought a TL after he scored an engineering job out in Cleveland... after about a year and a half literally just yesterday out of the blue he sent me a message on facebook telling me that he needs VE in his life again. So there is VE withdrawl as well... i digress...

I think this is a great move Rich. You always got to keep them on they toes... you always have to keep making moves like a chess piece. Regardless of what you have after a while it will get mundane. Switching it up keeps the mind fresh, allows you to enrich your knowledge and learn more, and ultimately you will get to experience all aspects these cars have to give.

tokes ya man, i just wanted to keep it fresh, try something new.

ive had a some what stock usdm de, 10:1 full bolted on s4's with a direct port 100shot, t25 10:1 with s4's, 9:5:1 de with a gtir set up and 4's, another fully bolted usdm de, a bone stock de with a ssac header/auto tranny, a de with 718r .86 with s4's, fully built jdm de 718r .86 with s4's and aem standalone. 3 stock trannies swaps, one fully built tranny swap, one p11 with a pg lsd kit tranny swap.

so ive seen my fair shair of motor set ups, along with suspension setups etc.

i think this will were its at. only time will tell.

the stroker crank !

tomorrow im going to clearance the crank etc etc. still waiting on my pistons and rods and off to the machine shop it goes. im thinking end of feb it all should be done, if not early march !

I had a 98 Sentra SE that I bought brand new in 1998, only mod was a Stillen WAI.

I traded it in on a 1998 Maxima in 2000. by 2004 I was having stock USDM DE withdrawals.. and bought a 1993 SE-R with only 67k on the odometer..

One can even have DE withdrawals..

this is SO true. i was disappointed in my stock VE after living w/the fully bolted, S5 cammed de for a short time. although the VE made more whp/wtq, the pwr was deceiving. were as, the big cammed de let me know every minute what it was up to, the VE just plugged along gracefully kickin' butt
a bit of VE prototype cam experimentation w/charles, then settling w/the N1's changed all that though. the rest is HISTORY......

there is something weird about hearing the motor rumble at idle, and shake the car.. and then liven up and it sounds SO DAMN SWEEET above 5500 rpm... it's like night and day.. i love the transformation.. (and I only have S3 cams right now)

I owned two SRs (b13 and b14) then two KAs (s13 and u13) before my current car. I totally missed the SR when I had the KAs. Those things don't rev for crap.
