Thread: SR20VE valve train

Hi folks,

after issue with sparkplug bits getting into combustion chamber i've got bad compression on first cylinder and air is getting into exhaust, so need to put head down is obvious.

i am expecting broken exhaust valve, maybe piston and cylinder damage.

Questions are:

are DE and VE valves, valve seals and valve guides same?

what are options and parts needed to upgrade valve train after this damage (overbore valves, upgraded springs etc.)?

oh and its 97" VE, all stock

Valves are different, you will need new ve valves. Supertech makes oversize valves and upgraded springs/retainers.
