N1 cams are very close to S4 cams.. not Stock 2.0 VE cams..

Not really, the s4 and 2.0ve cams have almost same lift and same duration... you realize the n1s have 20degrees more duration..

And even so, if you were right you prove my point even more

No but I have a primera 10:1 and a turbo kit on mine, you should come go for a ride in it. I promise you'll love it so much you'd trade me a VE for it...........lolz

I wanna go NA so bad man, I am patiently awaiting your results NA, no matter which route you take!

your DE has:
HS Gen 4 header
S4 cams- IN- .464" LIFT/266 DEG.DUR. EXH- .464" LIFT/266 DEG.DUR.
167 dyno'd whp

what about compression in the two? That is obviously a factor because the S4 cams are WAY more aggressive, yet yielding much less power? We need to see a dyno on your VE. You're 167 whp seems about right for a bolted/tuned S4 equipped DE.

Is there any chance of the "VTAK KICKED IN y0!!!" affect??

my DEs 167whp was not tuned just a G20 ECU. The VE will be dynoed after tax time hopefully with cams.

LOL. NA all the way, I've always wanted an all motor set-up. Individual throttle bodies, cams, exhaust, the works

pay for dyno time and id be more than happy to get you those results

out of curosity, do you expect it to be lower or close to what my DE makes or just the curve in general? either way around tax time if i do or dont get the cams she will go on the dyno.

well, you have a more aggressive cam in the DE and a better flowing head & header in the VE.. really there is no telling ... I guess if your results come back and it is very similar in power with a less aggressive cam I will have to reconsider my plan of action. I wonder how difficult it would be to use the high flow VE head with large DE cams and not use the Variable feature.. I know it's dumb, but I like the lopey idle!!!

Vqman, i think you dont fully grasp how motors work and or how ves and des work and differ.

Stratton.

in a VE, when the oil pressure reaches a certain level the larger cams kick in..

in a DE, you only get the one cam size..

be more specific with what you don't think i understand?
