And to reiterate what has already been said and prob 20 other people will say, get a full sr20ve motor. Cost is almost the same and you'll make money back selling the DE. If I actually had money right now, I'd be asking to buy your cams lol.

well I have 2 sets of cams

matter of fact, as soon as I get my sister's pathfinder back on the road I'll park the se-r and pull the motor and start parting it out.

Way faster than a DE? I beg to differ I was dead even with that same exact car. If you would care to see a demonstration PM me.

Mayeb so but if you get a ve that's running PROPERLY and a de that's also running right it would be a different story believe me. A stock ve in full trim b13 that's running well, just on a calum base map should do 100mph..... nuf said

Thanks to all for comments.

I know the VE head will fit a DE block but will it bolt on directly or will there need to be modifications or redrilling holes?

If you want around 200WHP, you're going to either spend A LOT of money on a DE and sacrifice your low end or you can opt for a full VE Longblock so that you can run bigger cams and get a lot closer for less money. There is a point in the DE where you can't make much more power without extensive work/money, I'm going to say that's around 165WHP. VE with the right supporting mods can hit 190-200 and still keep your low end for daily use a lot easier.

The car Its making close to 200whp last time was like 194 and after that he changed cam gear settings at the track and got into 104.5mph then after that he added a G-Spec pulley and ran without the PS belt an no A/C and went 105mph the car weigh i am not sure but should be between 2350-2400lbs with driver the driver its 130lbs The car it a daily driver so the only thing he removes are the seats for the strip... But the driver its very good as you can see...

I've been VE since April now after destroying my high comp DE last year. Best decision I ever made. The DE was C2's/16ve pistons etc, made good power and ran well....except for daily traffic and general run about. It was a PITA to use everyday.

The VE is just better in everyway, makes 20whp more, revs 1500rpm higher, sounds way better, drives like a 1.4 Civic in traffic and hauls like a train on the track. the extra cost is definately worth it.
