The shorter the rods the worse your r/s ratio will be and the higher your piston speeds will be. Idealy you would like to keep your r/s ratio where its at and add stroke, this would mean you would have to increase rod lenght. There is a lot out there about what is safe for piston speeds but when it comes to drag engines they get pretty extreme.
You will be better off with using the std lenght sr20 rod and custom piston. Although you could go even better and raise the pin height even further and run longer then 2.0 rods. This will lower your piston speeds and allow a higher safge rev limit.
There are pros and cons either way.. id say just run the std 2.0 rod and custom pin height its easy and although ur ending up w a worse r/s ratio you won't need to rev the big motor that high anyways..
