how much more power do you think n 1 will give over the sr16 cams?

not much more that 10whp, if you ask me. regardless of what a lot of people thing.

and who said wont be going to n1 in the future? Wouldnt n1 cams and a good intake be better than n1 cams and stock intake too?

Other bolt ons you may want to consider over the N1 manifold (at this stage) are Underdrive pulleys or a lightened flywheel.

my 2c

already have a lightened flywheel and I am not gonna use a crank pulley that does not have a damper.

yea. i am stubborn mule.

i tend to do things a bit different from most

If you don't port the stock cast n1 intake manifold you will loose power, n1 intake is not worth it unless you port it alot, n1'cams may not give you a large peak gain over sr16's but it will hold the power much better after 7500 making the car faster. I see myself making the same power on sr16 and n1 with the ssac header, a good header will show the gain of overall power of the n1 cams.

I say the no to the intake.'tried and got bad results.

If you sell the 16ve cams and buy N1s then the upgrade is gonna cost you almost nothing.

And like gio24sr20ve already mentioned, the N1 mani needs good porting to make it yield ANY sort of gains over the stock one. Remember it was designed to work with N1 cams on a N1 16ve motor. So just bolting it up to your 20ve won't help you, and it will be expensive.

Spend your money on something else rather. Even some Outlaw thermal gaskets will be a better investment right now than the N1 manifold.

Has any one ever ported the stock 20ve intake and TB. We may get better gains over the N1 intake or at least some increase.
If the N1 intake only gives you some gains over stock when ported. porting the stock 20ve intake should give some gains if not better that just my way of looking at it. (Jagy) said you can port the stock TB up to 66mm"

aren't there a few builds i seem to recall with way over 200whp, maybe on bigger motors but still on stock 20ve IM's - which would tend to show they're not that restrictive.

I'd say go for n1 cams instead, which coincidentally i'm considering selling a set of atm lol

Porting stock sr20ve intake manifold on stock sr20ve. It's been done. Waste of time N/A.
Adding N1 sr16ve intake manifold on stock sr20ve. Its' been done. Waste of time N/A.
