Sr20ve, sr16 cams with N1 intake - gains?
What gains can be expected if any if i add a n1 intake and tb to my current set up?

Cant afford a custom intake now

the car now has:

sr20ve - stock cr pistons
sr16 non n1 cams set @ +3, -5
modified ssac header - 2" secondaries, 2-1 collector added
3" exhaust
Calum basic

Did u tune your 16 cams to come up w those setting? Id try them straight up..

But anyways typical gains with the n1 intake on a sr20ve are usually at or below 5whp if I'm remembering correctly. And they are usually more costly then a custom manifold...

actually i have been running the 16ve cams 0,0 for about 2 years now.

did dome research and came up with that setting -thanks to Payu and Macakin. just changed to the new settings few weeks now. should have been +2.5, -5 but the gears i used didnt have 0.5.

no dyno yet, but i feel it in the car.

my 1320 time went up from 98.+mph to 100.22mph

where i am getting the n1 intake it's much cheaper than the custom

i would spend that amount for 5 more whp.

Once you get it Dyno or Street tuned it should run better, did you do any weight reduction on the car for those runs?

well i checked my afr and its ok. 12.8-13.1

the car was the same before the cam settings. same tyres (street). on both occasions the seats and spare were removed.

the race meets are like 2 months apart

N1 intanke mani is on ebay for like 250usd. N1 TB isnt cheap, but you can modify your stock TB up to 66mm i think. All that will make nice, cheap intake setup.

Well it's not only the AF that have to be tuned, timming makes a big difference. My car went from 97mph to 100mph with a tune, then got the n1 pistons installed and I got it tunned again and it went to hi 105mph traps, almost 107 at one time

For less money you can get N1 cams which should have more gains than what you will see from the N1 intake manifold.

Other bolt ons you may want to consider over the N1 manifold (at this stage) are Underdrive pulleys or a lightened flywheel.
