Thread: 20VE vs E30 3.2 M3 (s50 motor)

So what will it take for a sr20ve to outrun a 2-door E30 with a modified s50 or 3.2l M3 motor?

This is when Power-to-Weight ratio comes in and how the person drives the car. Bmw's are heavy cars with powerful engines, and lots of torque. Sentra's are light and with a strong motor set-up you can probably take him.

But for a 20VE a huge Turbo will do the job.

If you've already gotta 20VE, I'd personally go with a disco potato man. The lack of lag is gonna make up for the torque and then that thing will SCREAM as far as the 20VE wants to rev. The rest will come down to how you drive.

If you make more than 205 WHP in a SER you will beat a 333 HP M3. I have raced a few of them already and beat them.

that car has 333hp/262tq and weighs 3400lbs. like Andreas said, you won't need much power as the weight difference will be the deciding factor.
