i know for sure not to turn them off, last thing you want is to go to the low lobe at 9k

when i had my VE, i played around with all kinds of different rpm's.

The best for street driving was 5200rpm. but i got the most "kick" at 6000rpm lol

All depdends on your header. Id probably guess 5.5k rpm for a good starting place

I had them at 5200 on my base tune but once on the dyno it made best power at 5600.

i turn both on at 5800 for the smoothest power band with my setup.

You are supposed to have them turn off at a lower rpm then what you turn them on at, meaning when it drops below that, it's on the small lobe. Above your on setting it will be on the big lobe

^I think what he means is the feature on the MSD. For instance, using the window switch to activate nitrous, it will activate at 3,500 and deactivate at 8,000. I know I wouldn't want my car to come out of VVL at 9,000. The car will remain on the low lobe until it reaches the desired switch point.

I know what he means, the off switch, instead of turning the big lobes off at 9k or whatever, they need to be turned off about 100rpm or so BEFORE your "on" setting.

On-5500rpm
Off-5400rpm

IIRC, I set mine to something very high 10,000+. Can't really remember since it has been a while now. I see what your saying now.
