i've tried all 3 stock n/a cams 20ve, 16ve and n1s in my sr20ve, the most fun for short pulls was the 16ve cams, on sr16 gearbox with 4.44 final drive cams were straight up, however i could feel them backing off @ ~7.8k, but by far the nastiest the car has been was with n1's going 9k on a non-lsd box, 2nd gear got up to 130kmph/80mph

i would say daily driver the 20v cams r best, the low lobes r something u feel imediatley, they have lots of low end pull

Well I have had about 5 ve cars now. I have almost every form of an SR20 powered car you can have.
I may decide later to put the N1s in there but the stock cams do a great job.
It is perfect for a daily driven car. Power down low where I use it 90% of the time.
And come on big dawg build you a cheap ve b13

Low lift/low duration exhaust: 6.6mm/244 degrees
High lift/high duration intake: 10.7mm/264 degrees
High lift/high duration exhaust: 10.34/268 degrees

SR16VE N1
Low lift/low duration intake: 8.4mm/220 degrees (same as 20VE)
Low lift/low duration exhaust: 7.95/244 degrees (a little bit larger than 20VE)
High lift/high duration intake: 12mm/288 degrees (much larger than 20VE)
High lift/high duration exhaust: 11.9mm/288 degrees (much larger than 20VE)

Exactly, pretty much the same low end specs.
This was 20ve vs n1 cams (ignore the dip in the middle)

^^^ Nuff said. This is all that matters for the OP. At this point numbers are irrelevant for him. For others it may be an issue to consider.

Thanks man. I know the N1s are suppose to be alot better but I have had both. It just seems like the bottom end on the stock cams are great.

But i have a VE swapped 200sx I daily drive. I thought it ws going to be quick but IMO its not at all quick nor fast. I did a quick pull against my friend who has a single cam civic that went 16.5 and i won by .5 cars lol.

I understand they can be quick with money but my setup is.

SSAC header 2.5
2.5 cat back with cat and res.
Stock intake
MSD Window switch
Stock MAF
Clutch masters 6 puck
Prothanes
a suspension
Walbro255

It does get great gas mileage. But the car has the toughest time starting in the morning like its brutal. After that its smooth.

I like the VE but I was just expecting more than i got. I know with a tune and a n60 maf the car should be a lot faster.

Anyone selling a used B14 computer tuned for this lol

If your VE can take a sohc civic by .5 car lengths and that civic runs 16.5, you don't know how to drive AT ALL or your engine is not a VE and is probably a ga16...

A stock b14 when it came out ran what, a 16.1? Add about 40whp and your still running about the same time?

I don't see why your complaining about the VE's performance

I drive a 10 sec race car. My driving isnt a issue. I cut a 2.1 60ft on used street tires and went 14.0 in this B14 on 5 PSI.

My car just feels really lazy. I also race a VEd b14 that went 14.6 and he pulle on me easily. I dno whats wrong with ine really think its a mix between the tune and the Cat/Exhaust
