mine's pretty similar build then, 12.5:1 n1's etc. I could really use an IM like yours i think.

got a toss up at the minute cash wise, custom IM or freshly rebuilt shorter ratio vlsd box instead of my stock open diff shit?! leaning towards the box

EDIT: WOAH, how the fook you runnin flat tops with n1s?! and decked? which pistons surely that would be way over 12:1 with serious contact issues lol. i'm clearly missing something here...

pistons machined for valve clearance.

blo0d, plz post up pics.

oops... can you believe I totally forgot to take pics, and I had em in my hands for how long! :o Well 260 psi sounds low for n1 pistons straight up...

and my compression wont be 12:1, I cc'ed my modded combustion chamber and measured everything else so 11.5-11.7:1

what psi would you expect then? they're not n1 pistons they're 12.5:1 CPs

even though there's no accurate correlation.

we got a 12:1 de build here reading 180psi, it was like 130 with stock 10:1 pistons in beforehand

oohhh, that just scraped 13, i see what you mean lol

yeh no-one with any balls or decent build put the effort in since then. wezz woulda beaten that with a raised rev limit, and wezzs engine was very lightly modded.

we'll see this year

*sets self up for fall*

well I would expect them to have SOME correlation, arent the majority of sr20ve's similar?

eg: stock setup, stock combustion chamber: 220-240 psi, mine stock did 220-230psi
Cory's 2mm notched sr16 piston setup: 280psi
Macakin's 0.5mm notched n1 pistons and vet headgasket: 270psi
Some guy in poland, flat top pistons notched: 265psi

So for 12.5:1 cp pistons on a stock head, without vet headgasket Id assume 280psi like cory... but hey, its jus an overanalyzed... guess LOL

Im researching so as to get an idea of what higher compression pistons will yeild
