Selenoids And Failing Motor
hello everybody

well i have a sr20ve and the activation is with a MSS greddy, i tested the mss and function right (ok), and i tested the inlet selenoid and is ok, and the exhaust selenoid ir right too.... they sound (clack) when i set ground and 12v power

but i have heard that if you turn on the selenoids in "relanty" (normal with motor on) the motor must fail.... but it didn`t fail.... the motor continues normal..... is it right?

or what can be wrong ? my motor should fail or not?

if i only turn on the inlet selenoid at relanti... should the motor fail?
if i only turn on the exhaust selenoid at relanti... should motor fail?
or do i need to turn on both at the same time?

thanks

by fail you mean idle roughly an possibly die?

yes it should idle rough an possibly stall with both solenoids activated..

with only 1 solenoid activated it should just idle roughly.. however if your oil passages are clogged or are for some reason not gettin enough oil pressure i've heard people havin issues with the cams not activating @ idle.. mine work right away as soon as they're clicked on it boggs.
