how high of cr can you spray with
Well my question is pretty basic. I'm sure everyone will have their own opinion. I know I've always felt that anything higher then 12-12.5:1 was to high to be spraying a decent shot on..

But I've got some honda friends who says they have heard, read or seen people spraying 100 shots with 13:1 or higher.

So if your running 100oct and spraying 100 shot in the upper rpms how high of a comp ratio can you do this, and how much timing would you likely pull. This will also be with fairly large cams (184c) so the dynamic cr will be dropped quite a bit. Obviously also tuned on the dyno....

Let's see what you guys think..

I guess you won't have to take timming of as you are running 100oct!! But I don't know much about NOS, so let hear it from the Pros

Cory, zipstrips can fill you in but i belive zips and jun ran a 200 shot and popped the hg on the dyno. The motor was 12:5:1.

From setups ive seen, the higher the compression the more power the nitrous will make. You have a built motor with 12.5:1, you will be fine with up to 150 wet shot easily or if you plan to do a tune for nitrous you can do a dry and add fuel with the injectors. Pills are just easy to change out though. With 100 octane fuel you shouldnt need to pull any timing with 100 shot or below.

Hit those 10's on nitrous and show the honda boys whats really up. Id say with a 100 shot you could easily go to the low-mid 10's without a doubt.

I know I can run a 100 on 12.5:1.

But if you pull enough timing how high of cr can you do it on. I mean I know the cyl pressure would be high high but the big cams drop the dynamic compression a lot. I mean with enough timming retard would a 100shot and 14:1-15:1 work

Well in my opinion I would pull some off, what is you total timing, my boys car has been running for five years on nitrous and has not had a hiccup once on a stock ve. He is now on a hundred shot, when we tried some timing the car would loose some power. If you spray start off a little less timing than what a stock de timing map is and work from there, but even though you added octane in the mix I would still play itsafe.
Again I love nitrous the hits are priceless.
Starting point I say 25-26 total degrees
