ok guys.. Bringing my progress thread back..
I am working toward a VE swap into my b13 Se-r. I'm still in the research phase as we speak due to the coming Winter here in NY and realistically trying to debuting it this Spring. I'm looking for an aggressive street car with 180-190whp to start with. Probably will not be taken to the track often (if at all). I know this topic has been brought up several times. I have and am still researching through this and the other forum. I've read my share of threads on the subject, no need to reiterate to "search"
(This list is mainly for me to really put things down on paper but any and all suggestions are definitely welcome if it will help the end result)
So far here is my list:
1. Sr20VE motor (JDMEngineDepot in NJ due to a good reputation and pretty local in case of any problems)
2. JWT ECU (not very familiar with Nistune and Calum has not had the best reviews recently. If I can get a used Calum with a VE program that would be good also.) [How is the VE program on a JWT? What moderate things should I add onto program to get the most out it?]
3. RPM switch (MSD 8969?)
4. MAF Sensor (Stock to start) [N60? Cobra Mustang MAF? Ford Lightning MAF? Maxima 95-99 MAF?]
5. New Clutch kit (Competition Clutch failed on me within 6months ) [Gspec]
6. Urethane motor mounts (mines well) [Gspec]
7. Tune up stuff (spark plugs, oil filter(s), oil, pcv valve, cap, rotor, VE wires, tranny fluid, coolant, etc.) [Do I need others little things?] [Gspec]
8. Cruise control/throttle cable bracket [O.E.M - OverkillEngineeringMotorsports.com ]
Other Misc. items that I just want and would like to change while the motor is going in:
1. Hella air horns (don't ask)
2. Radiator hoses (Gspec http://gspec.com/c-50- engine.aspx?pagenum=4) [I'm guessing DE ones work?]
3. Short shifter (Gspec)
4. WAI Intake (maybe)
5. ???
