Leaving the irony aside, that is good news!

Maybe a 20V low / N1 high cam is more suited for 86x86 2.0L engines than the 184C

But this info is not helping, N1 cams seem to be it for 2.0L

N1s make more power than 20V/N1

20V/N1s not making much power (174 WHP)

you guys have to realise 184c is a very agressive cam with a profile thats not suitable for light engines or street use.

Correct. But for Street and Strip use on a 2.0L it seems the N1 cannot be beaten.

If you want pep only on daily drive situations with no redlining, then I guess 20V will do

So what would the problem be, if I use them for street (DD)? I'm planning on getting those too

I've installed the Franklin N1 replica's which are just a tad more aggresive then OEM N1's.
Will get the car retuned with a Greddy E-Manage Blue on the 20th november in the UK.

I think thats very true.

You could get away with running 184's on a 2.0 but you would have to change valve sizes. The engine would have to be spinnign to 9,000rpm. The static compression of the engine would have to be up near 14 as yoru dynamic compression wouldnt be so fantastic. This is why it wouldnt be such a fantastic street cam.

The N1 is a top cam because its power on a 2ltr is brough back to 7k. When dialed in - midrange is meaty and useable(this torque is what makes it quick to get up into the high rpm range)! I think the N1 cam on a 2.2+ sized motor would be absolutely perfect for a torque monster on the street.

I agree these are not worth it for a lightly built motor n1s will probably work better for the cost. But, if you have the head and cr then the 184c are the shit. And they are fine for street... I run my on the street all the time...
