Need some help! for a all motor newb.
Hey guys, Im done with a turbo charged DD. I will have the VE motor on tuesday morning .

Onto the questions!

Should i continue to run my walbro FP or should i go back to the stock SER pump?

Question 2

What do you VVL guys run to have a quick all motor setup?
My plan are as follows

Window switch
Header SSAC
CAI maybe the plastic one miko recommends?
2.5 Catback
Stock G20 ECU (for now)

Then maybe in the future
SR16cams
Calum Basic

Does this sound like a good reliable mod path? What setups have you guys had success with?

Thanks alot I have been reading a whole ton and doing alot of searching and have found some awesome information! I cant wait for my swap to be done.

through more research i have found that it isnt a good idea to run a DE ECU with the VE injectors. I understand in a performance aspect due to the A/F ratio being richer. But this must be ok to drive on till i get a calum or something equivalent.

Anyone run a DE ECU with 330s without a issue?

When I first had my VE I was running with a DE ECU but used the DE injectors and didn't use switches till I got my calum ECU.

I'd make the ECU priority over the plastic intake Miko uses. For the FP I'm not sure how it would run with the stock DE ECU and VE injectors but I do use it on my VE now.

The Walbro is a good upgrade, often the OEM fuel pump is marginal. But I would stay away from the high pressure model.

You really need to get a suitable ECU as a priority. Many here prefer the WAI to the CAI for the VE.

i have noticed this but why? I understand the whole hydrolocking your motor and other things like that but why else?

I think the reasoning to the shorter WAI is the fact that it prob. Gets more air faster, instead of traveling through the longer CAI.

I need to figure out what I'm going to do

I know a lot of people will say otherwise, but your car will run fine on de ecu and ve inj. Yea a tad rich but not horible. Nothing noticable, if your set up is sounds you will be good. Bolted on ve should be in the 13s w slicks for sure

you will only run rich if you run on stock timing. bump that timing up to 21-22 degs and you will run just fine. my nx is running on de maf, de ecu and ve injectors and is getting 34 mpgs. mind you the nx doesnt even have an intake, all stock(even the paper filter). my sentra was running a stock ecu and put down 175hp and 148 ft lb. with a nice powerband. with my oldman ecu i noticed more power above 7200rpm but peak felt about the same.

oh yeah... and dont run de injectors, with more airflow and those small injectors id be worried about something blowing up especially if youre gonna be hitting lift.

Yea, I will be picking up the motor tommorow so im pretty pumped.

So i will be running the DE ECU for the time being then a VE ECU later on.

But one more question what do you guys spin these motors to in stock or lightly bolted on form? 7500-8000? i know the G20 computer will only let me get 7500 but when it get a ECU what should i spin this puppy to
