VVL 11.5 : 1 compression question
As seen using the N1 pistons in the vvl gives a 11.5 compression as they say, will this work with 92octane fuel in the caribbean???

I believe with N1 pistons it would be around 12.7:1 or you can shave them or notch them for lower compression. It should be doable.

I'm planning on doing the same thing with my engine since I have rod knock.

I thought ve with n1 pistons compression was 11:1...

Can someone confirm this?

If the motor is dead stock - ie never machined, then its close to 12.8.

Once you skim the head and the block - it raises right up. After milling my head and skimming the block i was up near 13.4 WITH a VET gasket.

@autech could you give an idea of the setup?
What headgasket?
What mm shaved?
And finally how did you accurately measure the comp?
Thanks

I'm thinking about going n1 pistons...

^^ Your thinking about the 20v pistons. Someone that measured told me n1's are around 12:6. Ive never done it myself though.
