They do a custom 9" by 5.5" by 15" 3" spiral-louvered non-polished option, used by the midget / TQ guys for NZ $ 399. Re-packable as well.

AdrenalinR Custom Muffler Service for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand

What do you reckon?

That does look nice! If they'll make it with a straight 3" tip I would use it. Just not a fan of the dumpy look. I'd be very interested to see how it sounds if you go with it.

When I went VE-T the exhaust was super quiet, almost like stock. I've had the same muffler for 5 years already and it's in still great shape.

My .02 cents

Thanks for that, these were on the 'maybe' list.

Over here there are 'Forza-flows', unsure where that is in the range?

Will do some investigating.

Well I know the one I posted isn't a 3". The one I purchased is a 3' inch and it's straight through.

Better than that, NO tip at all!

Leaning towards it presently, like the idea of local fixes after the experience with the US made Magnaflow.

Try the Turbo version of the Apexi WS2 it is right around 3 inches and pretty quiet too.

Already tried that, then went to the Magnaflow option.

Update...

Sorry for taking so long.

Muffler has been on the car for a while now, about a month or so.
It has managed to inhibit the noise of the 3" (1 reso, no cat) exhaust, by a considerable amount, AND still allows the car to breath.

Highly recommended to anyone looking for a GOOD quality (the muffler weighs a LOT!) muffler from a company that has GREAT after-sales service (actually taken an interest in how things went, and any suggestions).

When she's all clean and pretty will take a few pics for those interested.
