VVL and Rev Cut Problem
I need help guys. A little background first, I have a 1992 B13 Sentra. Had an engine swap with a SR20VE 1997 (CVT Tranny). Converted it to 5-speed manual. Had my VE ECU rechipped specifically for N1 set-up. Now there's NO VVL and rev cuts at 7.2-7.5 rpm thou its supposed to rev up to 8.3trpm. Had my Wiring harness and solenoid checked today and its all working properly. We tried another STOCK VE ECU just to make sure if its the rechipped ecu that is not working but even the STOCK ECU has no VVL.
Most of the tuners here in the Philippines use either MSS or Summit. No one has ever tried using rechipped ECU with lower VVL points except me and no one can diagnose the problem.
Anybody here who can help me or suggest something? someone said I must use Electronic VSS, does it a have connection with the VVL? was the rechipped ECU faulty? Was it a wiring problem?
Its really a pain having a VE without the VVL.

You may want to try and recheck the wiring after you have converted from CVT to 5 spd M/T. You may be missing some signals such as speed signal from speed sensor to Cluster, and the another speed signal out from Cluster to ECU, which are 2 different wires.

I'm also using VE with daugther board with no problems.

G'Luck.

EDIT : You may also want to look at the rpm wire signals going in and out of your cluster also, same principle 2 wires, 1 going into cluster and another going out of cluster to ECU. ECU needs to have rpm input from cluster to ECU.

Im using a mechanical velocity speed sensor (VSS) as my car is old model (1992),
do you think this is the cause?
should i change to Electronic VSS?
Thanks a lot.

the mechanical speeds sensor should be ok i think cuz just remembered that a freind also using stock B11 mechanical speed cluster with VE swap and VVL also works.
