Anywhere from mid to high 12's on stock comp. My higher comp motor loved low 12's.

Same for the 2.4

Ok great info SR20GTI-R!

My 13.4 engine loved just being on the edge of 12 to 13...if it ran into the low 12's we lost a little power, but we never really cranked into the ignition maps as i was only running a nistune.

Ive switched to Link Ecu standalone now - so 5d ignition mapping and 4d fuel will be fun

Several stock compression ve's ive worked on have sniffed around 29-31 in the top end. you could run about 3-4 degrees more without detonation but there was no power gain so no need to run that much...

Are you guys veryifing these timing figures on dynos or just cranking it in and leaving it if it dosn't rattle?

Mine is stock CR and does not love 13.5 any more than 12.7 - 12.9, so 12.7 - 12.9 it is
