so if our 99ron is equivalent to your 93octane, what kind of c/r are we saying that will run ok with?

I would say the SR16 pistons with that kinda gas would do better.

Id say go with N1 pistons and VET head gasket. You should be in 12-12.5:1 CR range which is safer than regular SR16 pistons.

Actually our 99/100 RON gas is closer to 93/94 MON(in the US).
In some countries like Germany it is very common for the local petrol companies to sell 95 RON , which in reality is 1-1.5 points higher in octane number - they sell 96 but promote it as a 95. Which is way better than in my country - cars made to run on 95 RON do not like our 95. The 98 RON suits them better. There is almost no quality control.

your 99/100 should about 95.8 for us in the US. Which is way more than enough for SR16 pistons.

This official Nissan japanese site says SR20VE has 11:1 CR.
