Safe over rev...?
Hi. I chiped my car last week an set the rev limit @ 8k but it rev one time nd then over rev very high til the cluch engaged. I adjust the clutch cable and continue on the trip wo any rare noises or nothing, but then a strong vibration was felt. It sound like the engine ran out of bearings but at the time I push the cluch the sound stops. Anyway, the flywheel whas lose and the damber bolt. So, my question is, is it safe to put anything together as it was? ( speaking internally) I already change my clutch setup nd adjust the flywheel with the clutch. Thnks.

if the noise stoped when you hit the clutch than it was your flywheel, or trowout bearing.if you adjusted those and nouise now stop than you should be fine. i over reved my ve twice nothing realy happened but just check your cams and valves n springs for damage if nothing visualy wrong than your fine. if anything just ask cory or andreas for any info there preaty much the goru's to the vvl world..they know alot about these engines in & out..
