I posted this in the Mazworks header thread as well....

This is NOT the For Sale section, nor a Vendor Section thread.

Some of you folks need to read that statement again so it can sink in.

This thread is in the Open Forum. VVhere discussion is encouraged and honest INPUT is expected.

Some input may be praise, some input may be constructive criticism.

If ANYONE posts ANYTHING in any Open Section of the Forum, they should EXPECT both sides, interest, opinions, information, discussion and feedback. That is how a damn forum operates. Period.

I read just about every thread in the VE Section.

I'm going (big block) VE when my DE gets replaced.

Thank you Andreas, for your input. I appreciate your expertise and opinion.

Being mechanically challenged, I always look at new parts, from any Vendor, and try to figure out if I am the "intended market" or not. Sometimes I cannot tell. Ie. The Mazworks header, O.E.M. custom lower control arms, B.I.B. bump-steer kits, this Autech throttle body, etc...etc....

VVhat specifically are the Pro's and Con's of each Vendors offerings?

Open, honest, intelligent discussion answers my concerns about any given "new part" that crops up. "Is this part for me?" is what I want to know.

And I put my money where my mouth is and spend a shitload of cash with Forum Vendors. Love Chucks 3-point RSTB, his bump-steer-kit is not for me (serious track-hounds only).

That ain't a criticism, nor any slight to any Forum Vendor or its products. It is honestly looking at the pros & cons of the "new part", and as a consumer making an informed intelligent decision.

^ totally agreed, if he didnt want negative comments or ''constructive criticism'' than he should have posted in the for sale section where he would have gotten inquiries about the item to purchase and not in a open forum where he might not like what people says about the item.

definitly agree though shawn

That's a beautiful work of engineering. Count me in. Quality counts.

I think that we should also point out that Dale (username Autech) isnt affiliated with the Japanese tuning company

I know a few people did not get that. A specific person in this thread thought Autech Co. was making the part.

You don't have to lick anyone's ass Andreas. I for one won't lick yours. I respect your expertise and knowledge of everything SR related but that's it. Besides all of us know on an open forum keeping everyone happy is a myth so don't worry about it. We are all adults with the ability to make an informed decision about a product or topic here in the community so that should never change.

none of them have it so it is a mute point. Would be nice to see one of these 70mm TB with cruise control linkage.

So that you know I run my N1 TB without cold start valve but in cold climates this is a real problem. I live in Fl which is always warm.

Dre. whats a cold start valve do? for the past 5 years i've been running my VE with my old lowport DE t/b. there are 3 ports on it. i've had those capped off for all 5 years and not had ANY cold start issues. i live in western washington state. so why does a (N1) t/b (or any other for that matter) have to have a cold start valve?
