VVL With/without N-1 Cams
I did search some, but I'd like to hear it form those who have experience.
Everything else being equal, do you give up any low end power/ torque when you install the n-1 cams in order to make more power up top ? I've heard it does shift the power band up and I'd really prefer to keep as much as I could in the lower end as it will still be my daily

Yes N1 cams are pretty much all mid top end cams.

If you are more concerned on keeping your low and and want a little more then I would keep the 2.0 cams or if you can find a set of 20V cams that would better suit what you want. 20V cams have a killer low end.

N1's are good on bottom mid and top, you wont give up anything over the stock 2.0 cams. sr16(non N1) are the ones that have crappy low end (low lobe). High cam is great when it activates.

n1's and don't look back
i saw NO losses, anywhere. the intake smalls are the same on both. the exhaust smalls are bigger on the N1. intake AND exhaust big lobes are MUCH bigger on the N1's.

Like they said, you don't loose power, you just don't gain much bottom end. It's a more drastic change bottom to top end compared to 20V's or stock cams.
