Not sure if I agree with you because where the low lobes matters, nobody races down there...but I may be wrong.

I am a drag racer (and crappy driver) and - mod for mod - I have been doing better times than my colleagues with stock sr20ve cams.

Making more power too.

Otherwise I would just stick back in my 20ve cams.

Albeit it though I had these cams from a damaged sr16ve motor (b4 I went 2.0L) so I am just using them straight up, no gears or anything. If I was going for cam upgrade from 20ve cams I would have gone N1s or Kelfords

Peace

Drag racer that races on the low cam

I mean mayber certain situations from awkward mph roll races, but I would think if your downshifting keeping the revs up it shouldn't matter.

But I guess I could be wrong. Come to think of it, because the 20v cams low cam is so nice. It can probably hold till 6-6.5k rpm

Well my thought behind it was that they slight increase in power down low may get the car off quicker. I know when drag racing one hopes to be in VVL during the launch but, on street tires that is not always the case because of traction. Now with slicks I get it.

On a roll race (which is not allowed to be spoken of on thie forum LOL) yes it could make a slight difference.

Now I am not saying that a 2.0 cammed car is faster than a N1 cammed car by any means. I guess it is all hypothetical.

Damn I am confusing myself. LMAO!!

I am going to see if Lance has his dyno sheet. It is not laid over a comparison but, you guy may be able to get an idea of the difference.

All will say is that from a 20 roll the car pulled off on mine about a car length right away then I played chase.

My car at the time was at 203 whp with SR16 cams.

I launch @ 4000rpm and both cams activate @ 4600rpm.

Peace
