If the header does not clear the cross member, I really do not see a point for it, unless you are racing the car.

I do not race my car on the track, I daily drive it. That is why I say what I say.

are you cereal?

anyone with atleast half a brain should be able to drive around with out damaging the header to much, even on my car which has H&R springs (pretty low) would be ok, ofcourse i'd want the skid plate anyways tho.. i steer clear of crap, go around, go sideways.. whatever.. just cause a car is a daily driver doesnt mean it shouldnt have a bad ass header lol..

no offense man but you say so pretty outlandish stuff sometimes, i know you have reasons of your own or whatever but it seems like you jus like to be negitive about shit that you dont know about or dont have lol

great job mazworx..

as for everyone else dont listen to viprdude

I am positive there are plenty of other people who feel the exact same way about having a header hang that low on your car. It has even been said before, but god forbid you try to isolate them. How about you stop picking on me for being a mother fucking realist. Driving in and out of parking lots, maybe your own driveway, it would get hit every time.

I dont give a fuck if I say outlandish shit. I bring people back down to the real fucking world. You do not make the roads and you surely do not police what is dumped on or off of roads, if you can avoid it, good for you, sometimes you cant. Come up to PA and drive around here for one year and then you can tell me to fuck right off. I will go ahead and do that. If you already did live in PA and already have dealt with the roads, then I am so god damn proud of you for leaving, I will take my hat off to you.

You ever hear of Murphy's Law? If something can go wrong it will.

Stop being so fucking butt hurt about me talking shit on nistune (AND I EVEN APOLOGIZED FOR) that you have to follow every thing that I say and that YOU disagree with you have to bring shit up. Fucking drop it and move on. I already thanked maxworx for being basically being one on the sole manufacturing companies to do constant testing and support for the SR20 platform.

That is funny as hell that you say that and you do not even have one....look at the pot calling the kettle black.

i hear ya, which is why i said i know you have your own reasons, but not every where is like that, i mean ya.. our roads up here arent the best, but they arent bad enough to worry about bashin a header, driveways is something different, some places have steep driveways, but not really very many around here.. an if ya pull in sideways usually its all good..

if someones spending serious cash to make a bad ass ve, they're gonna want a bad ass header.. atleast they can come with a skid plate lol.

I dunno anymore, lynch, I just do not know.

I apologized for talking what I did on nistune. I complement these guys for there hard work and efforts and even say I would buy one if I win the lottery. You think I am crazy, all of my experiences driving around the past 6 plus years with my lightly modded and daily driven SE-R lead me to comment as I do. I was going down to OCMD one year and a small rolling hill had a nice surprise on the other side. A concrete cinder block was sitting there. Needless to say, I swerved to avoid hitting the wheels and instead it took out my oil pan and dented the hell out of my header. The header did not get a hole in it, but my oil pan took a shit. I dripped oil the rest of the trip there, stumbled into OCMD, and let my car bleed all over the parking lot for the next week. That was very annoying. I was only 18 at the time and I am sure that was half the reason, but it was a rolling hill and when you are traveling 70 MPH on a 65 MPH highway, that is really not a lot of time to react. I am thankful I did not hit a wheel and cause something far worse to happen. I have hit my exhaust on peoples driveways at least a dozen times because whoever made that driveway was a fucking moron. All of these things would deter me from having a daily driven car with a header dropping almost 4 inches lower than the cross member.

I feel like this dog trying to make the entire world happy with my comments and I am getting tired of it.

Since I have one I can comment, I don't scrape going out of the drive way, or out of parking lots. Since the car is lowered I drive it like a lowered car. If it were stock I guess I could try and rally my way up drive ways and and parking lots. If u have never had a header with a skid plate then I don't know what to tell you. The only header that would clear the Xmember would be a SSauto/hotshot 4-2-1(budget header don't clear either you will bash that one too). If you are in the pursuit of power you make small sacrifices to get them. If u don't give a shit then why even bother looking at the header and spending the extra 5sec of your life to make a comment on it?

Where do you live? Because every state, every city is different in its road care infrastructure.

I make a comment because this is a fucking forum and others besides me have already mentioned this very thing....why dont people understand that instead of getting defensive about a fucking piece of metal?
