Its this too big to build an IM for a big bore VE

Velocity Stack dimensions are : Overall Length of 130mm and Base to Tapered Length 30mm. Top outside diameter of 104mm and inside diameter of 72mm. Base inside diameter of 50mm. Spun from 1.6mm aluminum.

This and the OEM flange cut for a total runner length of 7.5in

Do you guys think its too much tapper for a 2.3 with all the goodies including kelford 184-c...

I think 50mm would be about perfect. Maybe a little on the big side but not bad. Looks like a good taper.

Where did you find these and how much? What size do we need to match our intake port dia?

I need to measure a stock intake manifold on the head side since the one I measured was ported I think too much on the head side since it was 54 mm..

That velocity stack is not practical for a intake manifold. It's too big. The plenum would probably end up the size of the valve cover. The stock cylinder bore is 86mm and the od of the top side of the velocity stack is 104mm, that doesn't add up.

You could trim that down a little then you end up wit about 3in. And there is no problem making the base of the plenum 3in . If you have to trim them a little it won't hurt. The only thing is its hard to fit a 7in long striahgt pipe inbetwen the head and firewall and have room for a plenum.

I also think I read this wrong. I was thinking the bellmouth inside dia was 50mm. I guess your right 70 is probably to big. Try to find something around 50mm inlet, I know some of the big whp k guys are doing well with 50ish mm stacks
