Thread: Clutch setup

Hey guys just wondering if theres any particular clutch/flywheel setup I should go with on my VVL. In the middle of the swap and noticed my clutch is pretty much done. Was gonna buy: Clutch Kit Bundle, 2.0, Stage 1, Stg 1 : Key Value clutch, t/o bearing and clips, axle seals, rear m but dont wanna pull the trigger before asking.

A JWT PP and B15 Disc will suffice.

If ur in the middle of ur swap and ur stock clutch was still good throw it in. It will hold. I had a friend that was using a stock clutch and never had issues with his around 180whp ve

word will most likey go with the b15 clutch. and no it definitely needs to be taken care of now since everything is out of the car. makes no sense to leave it in only to have to replace it within the next 1k miles.

JWT PP + B15 disc is good combo. Or Exedy Racing stage 1.

I done 2 VE swaps, both running on stock clutch. One new, one very used. No problems.

x3 on the JWT PP and B15 disc. Here's that kit:

That is the clutch in my Classic right now. I love it.

I have ACT Heavy PP and ACT street disc.

Holds very well and I abuse it weekly.

personally i think you need to look at the situation as what the future mods of the car will be, are you wanting to go turbo or stay na. this will allow you to make a better clutch choice in the event you want to go with boost or make good power you will already have the needed clutch setup in place to do so, weather than choose a clutch now and then be limited on power due to the clutch setup.

so choose wisely as this can save you some headache in the longrun. if you think you want turbo or want big power then getting the proper clutch setup is a must
