Thread: GETTING READY to purchase sr20VE

Just bought a 1992 NX2000 woohoo but motor is knocking hard= which means time to swap...after reconsidering a DET or VE i have chosen to go the VE route...

I'm a noob so if u guys can send me the thread to my question this would be easier.

I've done research and the sr20de ecu will work with VE (but not great) that's okay i just want to get it up and running for now. I found a motor, now i need help with what else i need such as proper wiring instructions and so forth, and also if anyone knows if the car will pass emissions since the compression is higher...will i need a new cat as well..

sorry if this is a repeat of anything but i've been looking for hours and can't exactly find a DIY for a b13

thanks but i did use the search...but the 92 sr20ve install just showed up today and wasn't showing up yesterday...thanks =]

see, people always say they search, an im sure they do.. just not very well..

the reason i dont like answering these types of questions is because i was able to do my swap without havin to ask any questions, i searched an searched hell i prolly read every night for 2-3 hours for 2-3-4 months before i even bought my ve.. when i got it i had it all mapped out what needed done an i STILL forgot somethings.. thankfully it was little parts store things lol..


if you have any specific questions i usualy dont mind answering, but this has been done to death so the info is out there.. hell take a look at my project thread man, pictures and all to show u lol its very informitive.
