Thread: Making Cold Air Box - HELP!

wow that is an awesome box with the scoup is nice. ever thing about doing something with a velocity stack in a box with a panel filter. like the arc box for the rsx? but not made out of aluminum and using a k&n panel filter, you might have to look for the right shape filter. just an idea for the crafty fiberglass workers out there.

Was thinking that set up I did, probably would be better with a mushroom filter so its sucking straight in to the MAF and not from all around like with the cone filters. The mushroom ones are velocity stacks with a sponge filter over them pretty much. Mines on the 240 chassis witch sucks because theres no hole to the headlight.

Ive always been a bit wary of those Arc type boxs because if anything drops into the box ie.peace of a thread from alan key or something, it gets sucked straight up into motor, I think fibre glass would be even worse in that way

But dont get me wrong the Arc box is a good design I just think I would leave that to the alloy guys
