^Did yours come with a base map? Also what system did you use to run it? I have a buddy of mine that went through 2 or 3 haltech systems and they all had some malfunctions. It is a lot of info about this on my.IS with the lexus guys. It may not be as difficult on our cars though.

I run an E6K ecu. Ignition is Crane Cams H1-6.about the base map...yes, but the base map was barely used. The guys that programmed it new what they were doing even though it was not the easiest thing to do. 2 or 3systems sounds like it was wired incorrectly...imo. I had mine on my DE and now my VE...not had a problem yet.

AEM EMS will do ya good to! Both systems work well. panapower is running a haltech in his new daily driver once I get him the obd1-2 adapter.

2 of my friend runnning on E6X on their VE
one changing to Direct Fire Setup using Mitsu Coil

One Retain OEM Distributor setup

both have no issue with the car
except AC issue on and off

but already found out that is wiring issue
since we didnt Tap the AC to Haltech ECU cause the AC didnt receive signal from Haltech

Power Wise. they get 160whp on Dyno Dynamic which translated at Dynojet is 190whp
Setup is 2.0VE with 16VE cam
Pure Stock Standard with Fuji Header and 2.5" Exhaust

I fitting E11v2 on my car soon
Want to see the comparison of AEM vs E11v2

I run a EMS Stinger on my VE. I ran it on my NA VE with no issues at all. Car drove like a dream.

Any standalone tuned right will work awesome. Like Brent mentioned the AEM is great as well. Probably the most user friendly Standalone out right now.
