20V header front pipe
Hi all,

Just had the 20V headers fitted and a custom front pipe to the cat made up. Problem is the ground clearance is pretty bad with the 3" pipe off the collector. Anyone have a picture of their setup? Were you able to keep the crossmember the lowest point ?

My friend had the same problem with ground clearance for the 20V 3" downpipe. In fact, he now has a nice dent on it. It's just something you have to live with. Search for Protech 20V header.

Yeh i'm thinking a nice big dent is the order of the day in the not too distant future. Thanks.

you put a 3'' downpipe on your 20v header, I tested a similar header as the 20v and when I switched from a 2'' collector to a 2 1/2 I lost some midrange. again just input from my testing.

I see the same thing when playing with the collector size. The 20V 3" is great for the topend but it will lose out on the low to mid range. It's a compromise. No free lunch.

I would test with a bit smaller diameter at the collector and increase it after the collector, 3'' to me is a bit on the big side including that the runners are so short.

Well the outlet from the collector is 3" so i don't see any other option there really... it tapers back to 2.5" at the cat, after the cat at the moment i have the stock system on there.

Compared to what i had on the car before, i gained a STACK of torque below 3Krpm, i don't have VVL hooked up at the moment, but the car feels better for normal driveability in general.

there all going to have that nasty angle on them. Only way to protect it would be a skid plate.
