Thread: Need help passing smog in TN

I got a B13 w/ sr20ve i/h/e 2.5 hi-flow cat E60 maf calum basic ecu and the car fail the TN smog test( idle then 2.5k idle) miserably. The numbers written to the left was the first attempt and all I did was lower the rpm. I change out the old o2 sensor with a new 4-wire one and tried a second time but still fail pretty bad. The HC went down but CO went up quite a bit. I tried going through a third time but this time I retarded the timing and add 1 gallon of denatured alcohol to 5 gallon of 93 octane. Results were pretty similar to the second time. So now I'm stuck and need some help. Anybody have any idea what my problem could be? The car runs good when warmed up and getting avg 25 mpg. Could it be a bad TPS or IACV?
